Résumé

This study aimed to analyze the effects of practicing physical and sports activities (PSA) on the well-being and
performance of workers in Burkina Faso.
Topic and Methodology We examined the effects of PSA practice on the well-being and performance of public and private
sector workers in Burkina Faso. A sample of 3370 PSA practitioners was drawn from a database of fitness centers and sports
facilities. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using STATA 14 software.
Results The study reveals that 83.5% of workers believe that PSA engagement contributes to improving their cognitive or
physical abilities at work, and 98% believe that sport improves their productivity at work. PSAs also improve the health and
well-being of workers, while contributing to efficiency and performance in the workplace.
Conclusion The regular practice of PSAs has positive effects on the well-being, performance, and productivity of workers.
It improves physical condition, strengthens the immune system, reduces the risk of chronic diseases, and lowers healthcare
costs. A healthier population is more productive and can contribute to more sustained economic growth.
