Résumé

Mushrooms play an important social, economic and ecological role in the world. In this study,
we assessed the chemical composition of some Macromycetes of Burkina Faso. The focus was
on the chemical compositions of two common edible species (Chlorophyllum cf. molybdites,
Phlebopus sudanicus) and two therapeutic mushrooms (Ganoderma lucidum, Phellinus pachyphloeus).
The content of proteins ranged from 20.38 to 24.56% on the dry weight basis for
the edible species and from 9.68 to 11. 43% for the therapeutic ones. Phosphorus content varied
from 0.13 to 0.18% for all the species. Potassium is very abundant in the edible species
(3.07 to 3.99%). The therapeutic mu-shroom potassium content varied from 1.49 to 1.98%.
The other mineral elements (Na, Ca, Fe, Zn, Cu, and Mg) ranged from 0.0001 to 0.11%. The
chemical analysis indicated the presence of volatile oils, sterols and triterpenes, carotenoids,
polyphenols, anthracenosides. The following free amino acids were identified in each mushroom
species: lysine, arginine, proline, histidine, threonine, vali-ne, phenyalanine and leucine.
