Quelques paramètres physiologiques et constituants biochimiques des organes de la lentille de terre (Macrotyloma geocarpum) en conditions de stress hydrique
Mberdoum Memti NGUINAMBAYE, Rasmata NANA, I. Alain DJINET et Zoumbiessé TAMINI

In contrast to other anthropogenic activities, little is known about impact of road construction on reptile’s distribution in urban areas. Therefore, the present study aimed at quantifying impact of road construction on C. suchus distribution. It was conducted from February 2016 to May 2018, in the urban Park Bangr-weoogo. C. suchus population(...)

Background: It is assumed that malaria vectors feed on locally available nectar sources to obtain energy. Sugar feeding is energetically critical for the Anopheles male swarming and mating activities. However, little is known about the
impact of local nectar feeding on male physiological development and its consequences on male mosquito life(...)

Effect of Cowpea Mottle Virus on Cowpea (Vigna Unguiculata (L.) Walp.) Yield Losses in Burkina Faso
Essowè Palanga*, James Bouma Néya, Zakaria Kiébré, Edgard V. Traoré, Nerbewende Sawadogo, Adjima Ouoba, Jean Zabré, Michel Peterschmitt, Mahamadou Sawadogo, Oumar Traoré
Cowpea production is constrained by several viral diseases all over the world. In Burkina Faso, eight cowpea-infecting viruses were identified using metagenomics-based approaches, including cowpea mottle virus (CPMoV). While this virus, as yet restricted to the Sudan zone, could emerge at the country scale, we aimed in this study to determine(...)

Association of TNF-α-308G/A and IL-18 Polymorphisms with risk of HPV infection among sexually active women in Burkina Faso.
Traore IMA, Zohoncon TM, Djigma FW, Compaore TR, Traore Y, Simpore J.
Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the most common sexually transmitted
infection worldwide. Persistence infection can lead to the development of
cervical cancer potentially due to some genetic factors such as polymorphisms in
regulatory and coding regions of cytokine genes. The purpose of this study was
to determine whether there(...)

Chemical composition, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antiproliferative activities of the essential oil of Cymbopogon nardus, a plant used in traditional medicine.
Bayala B, Coulibaly AY, Djigma FW, Nagalo BM, Baron S, Figueredo G, Lobaccaro JA, Simpore J.
Objectives Natural products commonly used in traditional medicine, such as
essential oils (EOs), are attractive sources for the development of molecules
with anti-proliferative activities for future treatment of human cancers, e.g.,
prostate and cervical cancer. In this study, the chemical composition of the EO
from Cymbopogon nardus w(...)
