The excito-repellent activity of five essential oils extracted from local plants against dengue and malaria vectors in Burkina Faso
Mahamoudou Balboné · Olivier Gnankine · Moussa Namountougou · Dieudonné Diloma Soma3 · Samuel Fogné Drabo · Rahim Romba · Imaël Henri Nestor Bassolé1 · Roch Kounbobr Dabiré
Using chemical insecticides remains the main way to prevent and manage dengue and malaria, two main mosquito-borne diseases. However, the vectors of these diseases have developed resistance to chemical insecticides. Essential oils (EOs) could be used as alternatives because besides their larvicidal and adulticidal properties, they have repelle(...)

Stochastic Model of Dengue : Analysing the Probability of Extinction and LLN
Ragnimwendé SAWADOGO, Fourtoua Victorien KONANE, Wahabo BAGUIAN

Impact of External Electric Field on the Performance Parameters of PV Solar Cells under High Light Concentration
Soro Boubacar;Tchouadep Guy Serge, Sourabie Idrissa, Kpeli Esso-Ehanam Tchedre, Son Souleymane, Zerbo Issa, Zoungrana Martial
The performance of a photovoltaic solar cell depends on a number of external and internal factors. It then appears imperative that investigations be carried out to identify the factors favourable or unfavourable to the proper operation of the photovoltaic cell. It is in this context that we study the influence of an external variable electric(...)

Experimental study of improved cookstove with primary and secondary sources
DIANDA Boureima, OUEDRAOGO Lareba Adélaïde, COMPAORE Abdoulaye, ZONGO Wendtoin Estelle, KAM Sié and Dieudonné Joseph Bathiébo
Improved cookcookstoves are cooking devices using biomass such as wood and charcoal. Although existing improved cookcookstoves contribute to reducing wood consumption, this consumption is still considerable, and the smoke produced is a source of many illnesses. It is therefore necessary to work on further improving these "improved cookstoves".(...)

In Burkina Faso, several investigations have raised suspicions that hospital liquid effluents are the source of contaminants in porbeagle-culture products and surface water in urban and peri-urban areas. This study aimed to evaluate the hygienic quality of hospital liquid effluents discharged into nature by the UHC Bogodogo (UHC-BOG), Yalgado(...)

Background and Purpose: The pharmacology of flavonoids on β-cell function is largely undefined especially in the context of defective secretion of insulin. We sought to identify flavonoids that increased the insulin-secreting function of β-cells and to explore the underlying mechanisms.
Experimental Approach: INS-1 β-cells in culture and isle(...)
